I know what it’s like to look okay while everything inside knows it’s not.
I didn’t set out to create a healing brand.
I was trying to understand what was happening in my own life.
I had gotten really good at moving forward. Handling what needed to be handled. Showing up. Looking okay.
What I hadn’t gotten good at was making room for what all of it had done to me.
Getting quiet changed that.
Then God met me in my living room.
It was February 2021. I was fasting, but I wasn’t prepared for what happened in that house.
I had fasted before.
I had never encountered God.
Everything in my life was a wreck. Looking at me, you couldn't tell.
That's why this fast was different. I was in a place I now recognize as desperation. Something had to change. I wasn't sure I was going to make it if it didn't. I couldn't have told you what that meant or what it would've looked like. I just knew I was at an end.
And God showed up like I had never experienced Him before.
He came to rescue me.
Before that encounter, I would've thought God rescuing me meant He was going to save me from them—the people who had hurt me, disappointed me, mishandled me, overlooked me, or failed to see what I brought to the table.
But like only God can do, He showed me something I wasn't expecting.
He didn't come to rescue me from them. He came to rescue me from me.
